Calling in from the Republican convention in Milwaukee, spicy Steve admits he’s already one steak down. But with the DNC top honchos closing in on President Biden (who’s out sick), Sarah begins to worry she might not achieve perfect victory after all. And with the finish line in sight, the technicalities* of the bet (and history itself) are being contested, so Jonah had to conference in from New York to adjudicate.

*This re-litigation got so pedantic it made Adaam miss Shabbat dinners in Jerusalem.

Sarah Isgur is a senior editor at The Dispatch and is based in northern Virginia. Prior to joining the company in 2019, she had worked in every branch of the federal government and on three presidential campaigns. When Sarah is not hosting podcasts or writing newsletters, she’s probably sending uplifting stories about spiders to Jonah, who only pretends to love all animals.

Steve Hayes is CEO and editor of The Dispatch, based in Annapolis, Maryland. Prior to co-founding the company in 2019, he worked at The Weekly Standard for 18 years, covering Washington, politics, and national security. Steve is the author of two New York Times bestsellers. He also worked as a contributor at CNN and Fox News, and currently serves as a political analyst at NBC News. When Steve is not focused on The Dispatch, he’s probably traveling with his family, grilling, or riding his mountain bike.

Jonah Goldberg is editor-in-chief and co-founder of The Dispatch, based in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, enormous lizards roamed the Earth. More immediately prior to that, Jonah spent two decades at National Review, where he was a senior editor, among other things. He is also a bestselling author, longtime columnist for the Los Angeles Times, commentator for CNN, and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. When he is not writing the G-File or hosting The Remnant podcast, he finds real joy in family time, attending to his dogs and cat, and blaming Steve Hayes for various things.

Adaam James Levin-Areddy is the editorial director for podcasts and multimedia at The Dispatch and is based in New York. Prior to joining the company in 2022, he worked on live shows and documentaries for Axios on HBO, CNN, and NBC News, and was a news editor for Haaretz. He also hosts and produces the Uncertain Things podcast.
