Valerie Wirtschafter

Valerie Wirtschafter is a fellow in Foreign Policy and the Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Initiative at the Brookings Institution. Her research falls into two thematic areas: democratic resilience and democratic erosion; and artificial intelligence, technology, and the information space. Her research has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere. She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
